Troopers were out in force on Thursday, Oct. 25, handing out 32 tickets for various vehicle and traffic violations on Route 9 in Cortlandt. Of those 32 tickets, 26 were for speeding violations.
The latest speed detail comes on the heels of a second, when troopers gave out 56 tickets for various violations on Route 9. The details are “conducted in furtherance of (New York State Police’s) mission to ensure highway safety for all users of the roadway.”
Earlier this year, a motorist who was busted driving nearly 100 mph was among 88 drivers issued summonses during a similar detail. Two others earlier details this year net troopers more than 150 tickets to motorists in Westchester.
